H.I.V. 

An HIV-positive diagnosis can cause an explosion of many thoughts and feelings. Thankfully, there’s help with you in mind. Through a combination of antiretroviral treatment (ART), medical care, case management, and mental health counseling, you will be ok. You can live a long, healthy, and happy life with HIV. In fact, many are already doing it!

Hepatitis 

Hepatitis C is a common viral infection. When left undiagnosed and untreated, hepatitis causes liver damage. But with advances in medical treatments, hepatitis C is curable.

PrEP and PEP Treatments 

PrEP is short for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, a medication that when taken consistently is effective at preventing you from contracting HIV through sexual contact, if you are exposed. It’s one of many HIV prevention tools. PrEP does not prevent or treat STIs or any other medical condition.

Pep, or non-occupational post-exposure prophylaxis, is a medication regimen taken after potential exposure to HIV to reduce the risk of infection.

Sexually Transmitted Infections

Sexually Transmitted Infections (or STIs) are infections transmitted through sexual contact, caused by bacteria, viruses, or parasites.  STIs are largely preventable by using preventative resources, such as condoms.  Most STIs can be cured with medical treatment.  However, a few of them do not have a present medical cure – HIV, HPV, Hepatitis B, and Herpes.  But, with medical treatment, these infections can be managed to the point of being undetectable, and consequently un-transmittable
